Welcome!

Welcome to Designing Technologically Inclusive Classroom. This course is taught by Mr. Travis Dingle. I am a full-time continuously certified teacher with Edmonton Public Schools in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Last summer I traveled to Dominica with the Alberta Teachers' Association project IT for Dominica. This site was originally designed to support the teachings for that PD session but will be updated to include new information for the 2016 Project Overseas session.

This year I am returning to the island to work with the teachers of Dominica in cooperation with the Dominica Association of Teachers and the Canadian Federation of Teachers. This year the team I am on is instructing various seminars on the island and focusing on ICT, Literacy, Special Education, Math, and the Arts.

Over the next two weeks, it is my goal to show you a great number of tools that align with your teaching philosophy and that can be implemented into your classrooms next year.

I am very excited to begin our exploration of education technologies together and am excited to see the development of several new digital learning communities.

  1. Welcome to Dominica, Mr Dingle. Though you are young, it is nice to have you as one of my tutors. As I am reading for my MSc in Educational Management, I am fully occuppied in the evenings. I also want to do my best in this course and be able to transfer my knowledge to other members of myschool.
